Join us for two magical evenings under the stars at the Garden City Mākete

Nau mai, haere mai- come together with us this July to celebrate Matariki, the Māori New Year, through creativity, connection, community & delicious kai.

As the city comes alive with different Matariki activations and experiences across Christchurch, we’re excited to create a space to gather, reflect, and celebrate alongside one another. Wander through a beautiful selection of 50+ local artisans and makers, enjoy delicious kai, and soak in the atmosphere of this special time of year.

Matariki is a time to honour the past, celebrate the present, and look ahead to the future- a moment for togetherness, reflection, and community.
